Spring Creek Park in Tomball, Texas will be closing its camp and RV sites for the rest of the year as they undergo repairs. The repairs for the park began on October 20th, and are expected to be completed at the end of the year. Main restrooms are also shut down while the repairs are complete, and the park has provided port-a-cans. Paul Wedding, staff writer for the Houston Chronicle, relays in his article "The repairs include an expansion of treatment plant tanks and a new line to the barbecue pavilion, as well as a new grease trap tank at the barbecue pavilion and the addition of a pre-treatment tank at the proposed scout camp restroom." All camp sites and barbecue pavilions are currently closed off to the public. The repairs will be funded out of the parks department's general fund budget and will have total cost of $86,201.72.
