USA Today Reports On Innovative Ways People Have Transformed The Classic, Aluminum Airstream Trailers That First Hit The Market In 1932
RV trailer design have changed plenty over the years. Being large and simply constructed to small and futuristic looking, the ideas continue to roll in. One concept that has caught on and continued to gain a following is the classic Airstream trailer. You've probably seen it before; it's that bullet-like, mirror finish aluminum trailer that has been around since the 1930s. Since the Airstream first took to the streets of Los Angeles, California in 1929, it has endeared itself to generations of explorers.
USA Today reports from National Trust for Historic Preservation and Katherine Keane in this article about how people have used the Airstream for their mobile businesses. One example is a business called Hairstream. Ric Pipino and Gil Haziza opened their converted 1994 Airstream Classic Motorhome as a mobile hair salon in 2015 in Southampton, New York.
