NEWS BLIP: MILLENNIALS EXPECTED TO GROW RV SALES
WSBT 22 Reports On The Expected Growth Of RV Sales In 2017 By Millennials Seeking Travel Trailers For A More Affordable Getaway
Expected to grow from last year, RV sales are optimistic with manufacturers expecting to ship 446,000 RVs in 2017. After buying a travel trailer that is able to accommodate a small family, traveling several times a year suddenly becomes more feasible. Staying in expensive hotel rooms for a weekend or more during a vacation can cut a budget down real fast. Millennials are realizing that an RV trailer is reasonably suitable for such a trip and will lower lodging costs.
WSBT 22 writer Veronica Ortega relays in her article: "The RVI association says Baby Boomers tend to buy motor homes for retirement. But millennials are investing in travel trailers because they say it's more affordable." An RV is perfect for families wanting to get outdoors and camp frequently. Ortega interviews Millennial Nikki Papachronis, who says: "They call this "Glamping" so we prefer to "Glamp" because you have the comfort of home, yet, you are having fun outside and doing all the outside stuff with your family."
