Parents Of A Disabled Daughter Sue After Oregon's Homeowners Association Rejected Special RV Petition
Gary And Renee Khun sued the homeowners association after they rejected their petition to park their RV in the driveway; an RV they use to take their disabled daughter to the medical clinic. The decision to transport their daughter via a motor home came up as a suggestion from the doctor himself and was agreed upon to be the best solution for their daughters case.
Once the homeowners association denied the request despite the sensitive condition they were in, the parents decided to file a lawsuit against the association. Moreover, the Khuns incurred thousands in expenses due to the fact that they had to pay for a new home in another neighborhood while selling their house. The association might lose the case because of disability discrimination.
