SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA), the world's largest system of privately held campgrounds, announced it is teaming up with The Outbound Collective as the presenting sponsor of Outbound’s Pursuit Series of adventure camps for adults. The three-day experiences offer participants dozens of different activities, ranging from beginner to high-intermediate skill levels, all promoting community, diversity, and education in Mother Nature. Sponsored activities include trail running with HOKA ONE ONE, backpacking with LEKI and Eagle Creek, outdoors cooking with Stanley, happy hours with WEST + WILDER, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fat Tire and FitVine, relaxation with Medterra and Rinse Bath & Body, and more. KOA is one of four partners offering free passes to Pursuit for organizations from underrepresented communities.
The Outbound's Pursuit North Carolina, presented by KOA, the final event of the series for 2019, will run September 19-22 in Green River Preserve, NC. Activities sponsored by KOA will include tie-dyeing classes, a ‘re-charging station’ for both electronics and relaxation, meals and nightly communal campfires, complete with KOA s’mores. Other Outbound Pursuit Series 2019 events were held at Bear Valley in Northern California, and the Snowbasin Resort in Utah. The Outbound Collective, a website and app, is the world’s fastest growing online outdoor and travel community.
