BBC News Reports On Duckbill Formation In Oregon That Has Recently Been Broken Down By Careless Individuals

The famous Duckbill rock formation at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area in Oregon has recently been destroyed by visitors of the park, after an attempt at posing with the rock led to a broken limb. Many blame social media for this occurrence, since the only reason visitors enter the restricted area is to snag a picture with the famous rock.
As BBC News writer Kate Lamble relates in her article: "Chris Havel, associate director of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, told BBC Trending that they had built a fence around the structure and put up signs warning visitors from going near it. "It's a very strange thing," Havel says, "The fence is very clear, you have to intentionally move the wires aside and crawl through it. People regularly ignore those fences and signs, go past these barriers and get up close to the formations."
