The Angels Landing trail has been closed at Zion National Park, after a rockslide that occurred Saturday has obstructed a very narrow section of the trail. One of the rocks, about the size of a refrigerator, obstructed a narrow part of the trail, according to park officials. The rocks landed on a section of the Angels Landing Trail that requires chains to climb. Paighten Harkins, of The Salt Lake Tribune, relays in her article, "Several of the rocks are unstable, and the trail will remain closed until the rocks can be broken up and removed, a news release states. No one was hurt or trapped in the slide." Park officials announced that the West Rim Trail is still open, but the Angels Landing Trail will remain closed beyond the Scouts Lookout waypoint. The National Park Service said it will keep working to clear the trail and hope to reopen it by Friday, November 22.
