Chrissy Bellmyer, 27, built her own tiny home after learning about this simple living through videos and blogs. Nevertheless, everything comes with its own complications. For tiny home dwellers, this comes in the form of restrictions and safety regulations; hence why most tiny home owners live under the radar.
“It’s just kind of a more simple lifestyle,” Bellmyer said. “You have a lot more freedom, but at the same time, a lot more restrictions because your living space is so small.” Another tiny house owner, Ethan Waldman, says “A lot of people in Vermont are going with the ‘under the radar’ approach for tiny houses. You are basically at the mercy of your neighbors.”
