The Virginian Pilot Reports On Eagle Scout In Virginia Who Started A Free Outdoor Library Next To Brock Environmental Center
Anthony Peters, has recently reached the highest rank in the Boy Scout organization, which is an Eagle Scout. He received it after he built a free library with donated books for outdoor enthusiasts where they take one and leave one for others to read.
As The Virginian Pilot writer Cindy Butler Focke relates in her article: "his Eagle Award acceptance speech, Anthony said his experiences in Scouting have impacted his life, from hiking in the mountains and petting deer, to meeting people who inspired him to be a leader. “Scouting teaches you there is no task too big as long as you are willing to go forth with a pure heart, an open mind, and hand in hand with your brothers.”
