Summer vacation often comes with more than just fun. Many times it is coupled with other headaches and responsibilities keeping you away from a healthy lifestyle. There are five excuses most use in order to justify their unhealthy habits. These excuses include: “It’s too hot outside”, “I’m on vacation”, “The kids are home from school”, among others.
Angela Lemond, a registered dietitian nutritionist and president of the Texas Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition says “A lot of people want to overindulge, they want to drink, and they want to eat - they want to have no cares whatsoever." However, in the long run, one will benefit from making the right choices and keeping up with healthy habits and maybe even creating better ones.
