Winnebago’s latest innovation from its Specialty Vehicles Division is an all-electric/zero-emission commercial vehicle built in partnership with Motiv Power Systems, Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area company committed to freeing vehicles from their dependence on fossil fuels. The new vehicle utilizes Winnebago’s Class A RV shell paired with Motiv’s Ford F53 based EPIC all-electric chassis. Available in 33-foot and 38-foot lengths, the vehicle is suited for urban and semi-urban short range commercial applications such as mobile medical clinics, bloodmobiles, mobile classrooms and mobile outreach vehicles. Six to eight batteries deliver an expected range of 85 to 125 miles on a full charge.
“Winnebago Industries is a company that is focused on creating customer value through innovation and technology,” Ashis Bhattacharya, Vice President, Strategic Planning and Development, and leader of the Specialty Vehicles Division, said in a press release. “We believe that all-electric vehicle applications continue to evolve to serve numerous end-user needs and this is our first step as a participant in this space.” Find more information at www.motivps.com and winnebagoind.com.
