Lippert And Furrion Announce End Of Four-Year Partnership Due To Tariff Concerns

ELKHART, Ind. - Lippert Components, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LCI Industries, announced that its four-year partnership with Furrion Limited will end on Jan. 1, 2020, due to the potential impact of expanded tariffs. Through the partnership, Lippert provided Furrion appliances and electronic products to OEMs and aftermarket customers throughout the United States and Canada. Jason Lippert, CEO and president of LCI, said in a news release, "This transition, and the added ability for LCI and Furrion to pursue tailored strategies separately and more effectively given significant changes in global trade, will allow LCI to focus on strategic acquisitions and product development to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
During the four-year period, Furrion grew significantly, building a team of over 200 people in R&D, engineering, and industrial design across the globe. According to Aaron Fidler, CEO and president of Furrion, the company will launch over 87 products over the next 12 months and will expand significantly over the next 5 years. “We look forward to working directly with the OEM and aftermarket dealers to ensure that the end user is getting cutting edge, reliable technology at a market leading price," he said in a news release.
