News Blip: Boat Rides & Bowfishing
Tulsa World Reports On Chance & Lexi Arnold Getting Joy Out Of Just Being Out On The Water And Scouting For The Youth World Bowfishing Championship
Growing up in the outdoors makes one adventurous, not afraid to get dirty and take a risk. That is the case for Lexi Arnold. Her and her dad, Chance, enjoy going on their boat and doing a little bowfishing. They get to spend quality time together, and Lexi learns a lot about life. In addition, the team also participates in the Youth World Bowfishing Championship.
Tulsa World writer Kelly Bostian relates in his article: When the two went out, "they were just out on the lake as a sort of test trip for the boat and to scout where the fish might be during daylight hours prior to the Youth Worlds, and to let Lexi pull her bow back a few times." Lexi also hunts when she can. This year, she shot her first deer, her first turkey, and she grew 10 inches. She had a tough growing experience as she fought through alopecia, an immune disorder that attacks hair follicles.
