Rhino-Rack, the Australian-born company that is a world leader in innovative roof rack design, has introduced the convenient new Batwing awning that integrates poles, ropes and pegs into a single unit. Made from heavy duty, water and mold resistant material that has been tested and rated to UPF 50+, the Batwing provides maximum sun protection, tested to provide 270 degrees of shade under its 118 square feet of coverage. The rip-stop fabric and poles that can be pegged into place provide stability and protection in stormy conditions, with an additional eight guy ropes with built-in hooks that can be deployed in truly extreme or off road conditions.
Setting up the Batwing is an easy one-person job thanks to its fully integrated legs that simply unclip from the storage position and drop into place where they are locked by rare earth Neodymium magnets. The poles themselves are adjustable to accommodate tall vehicles or uneven ground. The entire unit packs into a black UV resistant bag, equipped with the easy grip Rhino-Rack zips and heavy duty velcro attachments for transport. The Batwing retails for $699 US.
