The Spokesman Review Reports On An Active Retiree That Teaches Fitness And Yoga Classes To Promote Health
Ned McNamara, an active retiree, uses his time staying fit by giving yoga classes and volunteering. Not only does he help other people with their health, but his own heart diagnosis has been positively impacted by this lifestyle.
As The Spokesman Review writer Treva Lind relates in her article: Yoga also provides a very calming experience, he said. “It allows people to totally relax and decompress, and a person will sleep better,” McNamara said. “Stress is a killer. The deeper a person becomes in the yoga discipline, with breathing and stretching, that goes away.”Providing fitness training isn’t high-paying, McNamara said, but that’s not why he does it. He described his reward as coming from seeing transition and growth in clients.
