Denver Native, Jes Ward, has been working at cityWILD to bring at-risk youth and others to enjoy the outdoors, finding inner peace and learning leadership skills. Ward grew up attending a similar program herself and knows what kind of impact it can make.
As The Christian Science Monitor writer David Karas relates in his article: "But cityWILD is also much more than that. It’s a free after-school program, offered four days a week during the school year, that concentrates on leadership development. And it provides support services to assist youths as they deal with various issues at school, at home, or in the community."
