WBIR Reports On New Recreational Path In North Carolina That Outlines Zones Of Totality Of This Years Solar Eclipse
This year's solar eclipse will be taking place in August near the state of North Carolina. Because of this, the Cherokee National Forest Interpretive Association, created a recreational path for astronomical enthusiasts who want the best view of the solar eclipse. The map shows where the shadow will start and end during that day.
As WBIR writer Karen Chavez relates in her article: “The solar eclipse is stirring up quite a lot of excitement,” Innes said. “The map is a way to see on paper the path the shadow of the moon will take as it crosses the North Carolina-Tennessee line. It is a map of all the public recreation land, all the national parks and national forests and state parks, all the scenic drives like the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherohala Skyway.”
