Bangor Daily News Reports On Portland Family Bringing Their 8-Month-Old Daughter With Them As They Travel Maine's State Parks
A couple from Portland, Maine recently had a new-born daughter and they plan to show her the outdoors very, very early! She is bound to love nature ans being outdoors as much as her parents, Ray and Danielle Ruby. Baby Eloise is scheduled to visit all of Maine’s state parks in the first three years of her life.
BDN Maine writer Aislinn Sarnacki relates in her article: [Ray and Danielle's] list of outdoor destinations comprises 32 state parks, including Baxter State Park and Acadia National Park. And since the birth of Eloise on Dec. 1, they’ve visited six parks on that list, starting with Owls Head Light State Park on a blustery day in February." What an experience she can tell her friends later on in life; that she has been so many places before she hit double digits. When it comes to actually spending time outdoors with Eloise, the Rubys have realized it’s not all that different from caring for her indoors. In fact, in some ways, it’s easier.
