News Blip: Ford Looking Into RV Sales
The Drive Reports On Ford's Interest In Increasing Sales For Their RV Models, Such As The E-Series And Transit Vans In The U.S.
Massive motor company Ford has been in the RV space for some time but is now noticing the growing trend for vacationers or retirees acquiring an RV for a better way to travel. Many families are suddenly jumping on the road trip bandwagon, and Ford says many people are buying their Ford Transit vans as entry level campers. To be more precise, nearly a 36 percent increase in its camper sales so far this year.
Chris Constantine, from The Drive, relays in his article: "According to Ford, the E-Series and Transit vans are being bought up by families looking to drive across the U.S. for more frequently than the competition." Ford is mainly dominating in Class A motor homes. However, Class C campers are seeing the largest sales increases in the industry, and Class B vehicle sales are steadily climbing as well.
