NC State Parks "Ask A Ranger" Podcast Covers Wide Range of Topics

State park rangers always get questions, some odd and some intriguing. With all their training in the outdoors and managing natural resources, they usually have the answers or can find them right away. That's why North Carolina State Park system has begun the "Ask A Ranger" podcast hosted by Ranger Crystal and Jess among others each month to answer a variety of questions about North Carolina State Parks. How far can a jumping spider jump? The truths abut snake poison?What does a Park Ranger do all day? All these questions and more can be answered through this podcast series.
According to the North Carolina Division of Parks & Recreation website, some examples of the topics covered in the series include Christmas in July, Solar Energy, Archaeology Dig at Lumber River, and Meeting Maggie the Dolphin. Camping, of course, was a popular topic that talked about the recreation as a necessary part of exploration to its present status as an excursion and break from our daily lives. Camping is something that is held near and dear to RVers. Whether you enjoy camping in a van, from a motorhome, or living out of a backpack for a week, camping is personal and treasured by those who cannot live without it. This NC Parks & Recreation podcast discussed everything from wearing socks while sleeping to the perfect camping environment and favorite camping hacks to make your experience even better.
