TALLAHASSEE, Fla. â With Hurricane Florence’s devastating winds and waters causing mass evacuations along the East Coast, the Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (FARVC) released a list of campgrounds and RV parks with space available for Hurricane Florence evacuees.
“Most of Florida’s campgrounds and RV parks have availability at this time of year and are ready to accept evacuees,” Bobby Cornwell, executive director of the Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, said in a press release. “It would be advisable, if possible, to contact the park ahead of time to reserve a space.” People can visit the FARVC website, www.campflorida.com, for listings and descriptions of over 400 member Florida campgrounds and RV Parks.
Parks with availability stretch across the state along I-95 and I-75 with some close to the Florida/Georgia state line. Several campgrounds may have cabin rentals available. For a complete list, go here to the FARVC press release.
