El Paso To Add Five Waterparks To Its Attractions

El Paso, Texas, a notoriously hot and dusty city, is working on changing its image. According to an article on the KFOX14 website, the city plans to build five new waterparks located throughout the city. The city started a public outreach campaign to get feedback from the community on the branding and themes for the parks under design. They want each park to be unique, inspired by the local culture and public opinion. When considering the things to do in El Paso, TX, one might go through that decision pretty quick. "There's nothing really around here to do," said East El Paso resident Domingo Recinos. In response to the facts, the city of El Paso is looking to change that reputation by building these five new water parks.
Community members can go onto a website and suggest themes for the various parks. Themes suggested so far include desert, western, jungle and zombie themes, according to interviews performed by KFOX. Each park will have lazy rivers, slides, wading pools, water playgrounds, cabanas and lounge pools. Several of the larger parks will have a recreation center, 50-meter competition pool or a diving well. Ideas can be submitted to the City of El Paso here.
