Webasto CV Battery System Now Available In US

FENTON, Mich. - Webasto, a leading innovator in emobility, announced that its commercial vehicle (CV) Standard Battery System is now available to OEM customers in North America. A plug-and-play system, the Webasto modular design is able to reduce development time and cost for the vehicle manufacturer. At the recent SEMA show, the company’s Mustang Lithium, a battery electric prototype with 1,000 ft-lbs of torque and over 900 horsepower, won Ford’s 2019 Best of Show Stand Award for Outstanding Achievement in Design. At the Mustang Lithium display, Webasto also featured its TurboDX Level-2 charging station, compatible with both plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles, and its TurboCord portable vehicle charger, which plugs directly into any standard 120-volt electrical outlet. The Webasto Group, headquartered near Munich, has over 50 locations around the world, including 30 manufacturing plants.
