Recalls On Forest River RVs 2018
The NHTSA Reports On Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) Recalling Several RVs (Motorhomes and Trailers) Due To Faulty Equipment. Check Here For Details And Specific Recall Numbers.

Forest River RVs are the subject of several current recalls. The company is recalling certain 2017-2018 Forest River Cherokee recreational trailers, equipped with Norcold N306 mini refrigerators that may have a loose or missing propane gas valve test port screw, allowing propane to leak out when the refrigerator is used in gas mode. and Norcold dealers will install and tighten the gas valve port screw, as necessary, free of charge. Forest River's number for this recall is 3747-0667. Certain of Forest River’s 2018 Surveyor recreational trailers, may have a refrigerator in the slideroom installed without an air cycling fan to cool the refrigerator parts, which can cause the refrigerator cooling tubes to fail, increasing the risk of fire. Dealers will install a fan assembly, free of charge Forest River's number for this recall is 3747-0667. Forest River will notify affected owners. Both recalls are expected to begin May 17, 2018.
Forest River is also recalling several motorhomes built on Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) chassis, including the 2016-2017 Forest River Berkshire, 2012-2017 Forest River Charleston, 2013-2015 Coachmen Cross Country and Pathfinder, and 2014-2015 Glaval Synergy. The power steering hose on the affected vehicles may be routed incorrectly, and may rub against the power stud on the starter motor, possibly causing electrical arcing and a power steering fluid leak. Freightliner dealers will reroute the power steering hose to provide proper clearance, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin May 15, 2018. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-0665. Some Forest River 2018 No Boundaries recreational trailers have been recalled to replace the spare tire mount. The original mount may not be strong enough and the spare tire may detach from the trailer. The recall is expected to begin May 15, 2018. Forest River's number for this recall is 77-0662. Certain 2016-2018 Forest River XLR Toyhaulers are also being recalled due to safety chains that do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the trailer, creating the possibility of the trailer becoming uncoupled from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall is expected to begin April 23, 2018. Forest River’s number for this recall is 45-0645.
