Mary Jo Tozier is a retiree that has been focusing her time on giving exercise classes for other seniors at the gym in Maine. Moreover, all her participants have reaped health benefits after attending the Bone Builders class on a regular basis.
As BDN writer Meg Haskell relates in her article: “It turns out you don’t really want that much time to yourself when you retire,” Tozier said. “Right after I retired, I thought, ‘Okay, now I’ve got to do something. I can’t just sit around and organize my house all day.” So now, every Wednesday and Friday morning a little before 9 a.m., Tozier arrives at The Heritage, a property of the Brewer Housing Authority, and starts setting up for the “Bone Builders” workout class that meets in the big community room there.
