USA Today Reports On Winnebago Industries Who Is Now Focusing Their Targeting Efforts On The Younger Generation
Winnebago Industries has decided to expand its market by appealing to a younger generation. It was shown in 2011 that the average age of an RV owner is 48, and the number keeps dropping. Their plan is to include smaller, sleeker and cheaper RVs that will attract the younger generation.
As The Register writer Kevin Hardy relates in his article: "We believe that we are one of the leaders in the RV industry," Happe, Winnebago Industries CEO says. "However, we can't rest on the laurels of that legacy. We can’t be complacent." RVIA spokesman Kevin Broom said, "The Millennial generation is one that desires the experience of travel, the experience of seeing great things around the country. And they enjoy that sense of adventure."
