Riley Creek Campground (Alaska) Opened This Past Mother's Day Weekend

FAIRBANKS, AK —The Riley Creek Campground in Denali National Park and Preserve opened Friday, May 11, earlier than the planned mid-May opening due to increased demand over the Mother’s Day weekend, according to a news release from the park. Renowned for conserving wildlife and supporting intact ecosystems, Denali has been recognized for its contribution to scientific research and discovery. Camping fees will be collected. The nearby Riley Creek Mercantile is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and features camping supplies, food, shower house, bathrooms, water filling, RV dump station and laundry facilities, the news release reads.
