News Blip: Cold-Brew Coffee Service On The Boise Foothills
Idaho Statesman Reports On How Innovative Business Cafe Mule Is On The Move Through The Mountain Trails Of Idaho
One way to get your coffee is by mule. It may sound strange, but Matt Bishop has found a way to serve travelers and locals alike cold-brew coffee while they are out on the Boise Foothills in Idaho. Matt Bishop is the owner of Cafe Mule, a trail-side cold-brew coffee service. Bishop's creative service has gained a good following as many seek out the weekly Cafe Mule location. Richard The Mule is Bishop's partner and excellent supply carrier. The summer time especially brings customers to the mobile company as they enjoy a cold-brew in the heat of the outdoors.
Idaho Statesman writer Chadd Cripe relays in his article: "Bishop makes his cold brew using chilled water once a week in a commercial kitchen in Garden City. The 24-hour process creates a rich taste with less acidity and a higher caffeine content than traditional coffee, he said. He serves the coffee on nitrogen, which makes a cup of coffee look like a beer out of the tap." His product is also on tap at retail coffee locations. The bottled version is available at the Co-op, Whole Foods and other stores.
