Living on the road is a phenomenon that is becoming more and more popular. It has been estimated that 22 million Americans will spend their summer trips in RVs this year. Helmut Schmidt further reports in his article that $49.7 billion was pumped into the U.S. economy by this industry in 2015 and that it provided 289,852 full-time jobs.
Furthermore, RV life enthusiast Linda says that "It's a wonderful way to see the country; I like a different view outside my kitchen window.” When another RV life supporter, Gary, was asked why he enjoys the full time lifestyle, he said: "It's an adventure. Home is where you park it."
