University Herald Reports On The Best Colleges In The United States For Outdoor Enthusiasts And Adventure Seekers
When it comes to picking a college, some students look at programs, others at reputation, but some look at the surrounding environment and its activities. There are some universities that are better suited for those with thirst for adventure. The top 4 picks are as follows: Bowdoin College, Washington and Lee University, Colorado State University, and Cornell University.
As University Herald writer Audri Taylors relates in her article: Washington and Lee University is found between Shenandoah National Park and George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, and there are at least nine different hiking trails just within 45 minute drive off campus. If you also hate the dirt but would love to appreciate great view and nature, the college is just a short drive away from Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the country's most scenic drives.
