MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. â Lakewood Camping Resort announces their for 38th Annual American Heart Association Beach Ride in efforts to raise money for the American Heart Association. The Myrtle Beach camping resort will transform into a 200-acre equestrian-friendly ranch for participants and their horses on Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019.
Robert Clinger, general manager of Lakewood Camping Resort, siad in a press release: “The
American Heart Association Beach Ride is one of our favorite events that we
host each and every year right here at Lakewood.” In
its 14th year, the Beach Ride is expecting over 1,200 riders
and 2,000 participants from across the nation. Riders and their horses will
spend five days and four nights camping at Lakewood, where riders will explore
more than 20 miles of the pristine Atlantic Coast shore. The Beach Ride is the
largest beach-trail ride on the sandy shores of South Carolina and is just one
of the many events held annually at Lakewood Camping Resort. Since its inception, more than $5.1 million has been raised to support the American Heart Association’s cardiovascular research and education projects.
