The Kansas Department of Health and Environment urges residents at a Harvey County RV resort to boil their water until further notice. Spring Lake RV & Camping Resort, located at 1308 S. Spring Lake Rd., is 12 miles west of Newton on Highway 50. It’s about 38 miles north and slightly west of Wichita. As stated in a press release, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment said: “Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine (and) residual and bacterial contamination.” The boil water advisory went into effect Monday, agency spokeswoman Kristi Zears wrote.
