The Bulletin Reports On Oregon's Outdoor Industry That Wants To Create A State-Level Office Of Outdoor Recreation In Oregon
The outdoor industry in Oregon is asking to create a state level office of outdoor recreation. This office would be focusing on showing the importance of the outdoor industry and its impact on the economy.
As The Bulletin writer Hillary Corrigan relates in her article: "Van Schoessler, president of Oregon Outdoor Alliance, watched offices form over recent years in nearby states to prompt outdoor-related companies to locate there. “We kind of saw this going on and said, ‘Hey, hey, hey, what’s going on here? We’re as good as any of these guys,’” Schoessler said. “We just felt like there wasn’t representation in Salem looking out for us.”
