Editor's Note: This news item was retrieved and first published through The RV Industry Association's website.
The RV Industry Association will host its 4th Annual National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Seminar to clarify NHTSA compliance responsibilities and regulations. Understanding NHTSA regulations, as well as how to identify safety issues, will not only help members stay compliant and avoid needless noncompliance costs; but more importantly, it helps the industry to continually improve the safety of the RVs for consumers.
According to a press release, this year’s seminar will focus on the potential life stages of a recall including: identifying a potential issue that requires further investigation, elevating such issue to a safety committee, investigating and identifying the elevated issue and administering a recall campaign; in addition to reviewing basic federal motor vehicle safety standards and the function of a safety committee.
