News Blip: Congressman Withdraws Bill
The Denver Post Reports On Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz Who Decided To Pull Back From His Own Bill
Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz has recently withdrawn from his own bill that planned to transfer 3.3 acres of public land to federal land. He feared the bill was sending the wrong message, after many hunters and outdoor enthusiasts like himself retaliated against the bill.
As The Denver Post writer Jason Blevins relates in his article: “I’m a proud gun owner, hunter and love our public lands,” Chaffetz wrote below a photo of himself in camouflage hunting gear, holding his hound. “Groups I support and care about fear it sends the wrong message. I hear you and HR621 dies tomorrow #keepitpublic.”
