REI Co-op Donates Portions of National Park Collection Sales
Editor's Note: This news item was retrieved via REI's website.
REI Co-op has a relatively new line of clothing available called the National Parks Collection. Recreational Equipment, Inc. is giving 5% of the sales of these products to National Parks. Wear your pride and help them help the parks (and the trees!). Each year, REI donates millions of dollars to support conservation efforts nationwide and sends dedicated teams of volunteers—members, customers and REI employees—to build trails, clean up beaches, restore local habitats and more.
A notable set of outdoor gear is REI's camping and hiking backpacks called Flash National Park Packs. Perfect for day hiking, REI Co-op Flash 18 National Park Packs feature limited-edition prints inspired by National Park Service maps. In addition, various T-shirts with National Park names and unique graphic designs related to the area are offered on their website for purchase. Our National Park Tees are made with a super-soft blend of polyester and organic cotton. Five percent of these tees’ sales will be donated to the parks. Through responsible business practices across the company, REI strive to reduce our environmental footprint.
