GOOD Magazine Reports On Small-Town Doctor Who Will Be Running 3,000 Miles To Raise Money For Uninsured Kids
Family-practice physician, Levi Rizk, from Virginia runs marathon from L.A. to DC to raise money for uninsured kids. In the article written by Jesse Hirsch, Rizk explains how he has always wanted to run for a cause, it was just a matter of time. His goal is to raise one million dollars for the HOPE Association, and run 3,000 miles in less than 100 days.
“When I’m out there, alone, I can get past the stress and worry,” he says, “all the stuff that blocks me from what really matters.” Furthermore, on his journey, he will be followed by an RV where he will be sleeping each night. At the end of it all, this RV will be turned into a mobile health clinic.
