Teachers, because of their aspects of academia, depending on what their field of study are, make very good travelers. They have explored the world inward and outwardly. A consistent element that brings together many couples, as indicated recently, is teaching English overseas. The Globe & Mail in the United Kingdom highlights one such couple who have explored around in the world in their RV including North America.
Shelly White, Special to The Globe & Mail, relates in her article: "Shelley and John are RVers, which means they spend their winters in their recreational vehicle – travelling with their truck and fifth-wheel trailer across the warmer parts of North America. Summers are spent at their home in Courtney, B.C., in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. For the majority of their careers, the s taught at international schools overseas, mostly in southeast Asia. That may have been where they caught the travel bug."
