The Spencer family in Caldwell has recently rented out an RV for their trip to the 100th running of the Indy 500 car race. The idea first came to Robb Spencer when he wanted an opportunity to take his father to the big event since he missed it two years ago. Moreover, he usually spends time by himself as a truck driver, and saw this as a great way to spend time with the family.
As Idaho Press Tribune writer Olivia Weitz relates in her article: "Renting an RV on online website called Outdoor Toy Share made the trip more financially viable, Spencer said. The family will end up saving because they won’t be spending money on flights, a hotel or renting a car. “We’re going to spend a couple thousand or less,” Spencer said. The family is renting a 24-foot Jamboree Searcher RV for $196 per day."
