The Herald-Tribune Reports On Nokomis, Florida RV Manufacturer Building Upon Its Success With Winning Strategies And Products
Speaking of Florida businesses rising to their feet after the recent natural disaster that hit the state, Coach House RV is excelling at what it does best. Nokomis based, Coach House has grown significantly from its beginnings as a van conversion business, with the Gerzeny patriarch, Ruben Gerzeny, adding motor home interiors to large vans. The company produces about 100 motor homes, from 23 to 27 feet long, with Ford or Mercedes chassis, each year.
Herald-Tribune writer Elizabeth Djinis relates in her article: "Ruben Gerzeny began buying used vans and converting them into motor homes. The business took off from there, and in 1985 he trademarked the name Coach House Motor Homes and expanded into larger, Class B vehicles. Through the recession, the company realized a major change: It would no longer sell through dealers. Another key strategy is building personal relationships with its customers.
