As The Advocate writer Robin Miller reports in her article: Vicki said she's also grateful for the people who reached out to help. "Friends from everywhere have helped us," she said. "I've seen so many people helping others, and I believe this disaster has brought our community together." The s feel safe in their neighborhood and plan to stay there through the duration of the restoration project. "This is where we live," Vicki said. "And we like camping, though I can't say we like it like this. But we're going to stay here, and we hope to be back inside the house in October."
