The Bradford Era Reports On Elderly Women Who Continues To Enjoy The Beauty Of The Outdoors As She Walks Historic Trail
Brave eighty-seven-year-old Betty Francis enjoys her exercise. So much that she recently hiked along the dips and curves of Rock City Park’s historic trail. The trail can wind even a young adult due to it's rugged terrain. Betty also visited Watkins Glen and Letchworth Park, as well as her float down the Allegheny River and viewing of Olean’s fireworks.
Bradford Era writer Kate Day Sager relates in here article: "A resident of the Houston, Texas, area, Francis has been in the Olean area the past week visiting with the family of Michael Walsh, a native of Olean. Speaking to Betty after her hike, Kate Sager reports that she enjoyed Rock City because it was different than any trails she has encountered. “Michael had me stand where I was on one rock and I put my hands up like I was holding a big rock up. That was kind of fun,” Betty recalled.
