News Blip: 2017 California RV Show Review
RVBusiness Reports On 'The Best RV Show' In Pomona, Showing A Jump In Attendance After Just The First Week
The California RV Show kicked off October 6th at the Los Angeles Fair & Exposition Fairplex in Pomona. RVIA’s Western Show Director Tom Gaither reports that the show has more than doubled in size in the last six years. According to RVBusiness, some 1,400 RVs are being shown over a record 1.2 million square feet of display space.
With regard to entertainment, the show this year has an increased Hispanic emphasis as the staff of Estrella TV — local Ch. 64 — took over the stage on the last day of the show. "What we are finding about Hispanic RVers is that when they go camping they bring three generations — themselves, their parents and their kids,” Gaither said. Popular TV host and actor Mario Lopez also was in attendance signing autographs. Los Angeles sports celebrities Steve Garvey, formerly with the MLB’s Dodgers, Eric Dickerson, an ex-Rams NFL player, and James Worthy, retired from the NBA’s Lakers, were there as well for guests to meet and greet.
