FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky visitors can eat their way their way across the state on the new Kentucky State Parks Culinary Trail. Eating establishments in nine state parks are participating, serving menus designed by some of Kentucky’s top chefs, highlighting signature dishes and local foods typical of the region. The meals, including appetizer, entree, sides, dessert and a beverage, cover a wide range of different taste experiences, from banana pudding and a bourbon cocktail at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in the far west of the state to soup beans and moonshine at Pine Mountain in the far southeast.
Along the way, diners on the culinary trail will sample Kentucky specialties such as the classic Kentucky Hot Brown, tomato pie, bourbon biscuit pudding, and a variety of desserts made with local fruits.
