According to North Carolina State Parks, all public visitor centers and campgrounds have been closed. Trails and restrooms will remain open to the public. The number of coronavirus cases in North Carolina has jumped to 34 recently.As relayed in a News & Observer article, "The system announced early Tuesday that its 34 parks, four recreation areas and three natural areas “will suspend public operations” starting Tuesday." National parks situated in the state will also remain open. On Sunday, multiple local government agencies announced closures. Durham County announced that all libraries are closed until further notice. Wake County Public Libraries and facilities at county parks will be closed beginning Monday through March 27.
