National Park Employees, Volunteers & Partners Awarded For Service

WASHINGTON - (Aug. 22) Park employees, volunteers and partners who have made significant contributions to the preservation, protection and enjoyment of national parks were honored and appreciated during a small award ceremony in which the 2018 Harry Yount, George and Helen Hartzog, and Wes Henry Awards were handed out.
National Park Service Deputy Director P. Daniel was quoted in a press release: “These award recipients have exhibited extraordinary dedication to the National Park Service. These groups and individuals eagerly share unique talents and skills to enhance park operations and provide safe and memorable park experiences for visitors from around the world.” Both the National Park Service (NPS) and the National Park Foundation put the award ceremony into action.
