Lottery Open To Participate In Famous 100 Mile Run & MTN Bike

LEADVILLE, Colo. - Endurance Sportswire reports that the entrance into the 2019 Leadville Trail 100 MTB and 100 Run Lottery opened December 1 and will remain open until Monday, December 31 at 11:59 P.M. MST. Winners will be notified by mid-January and automatically charged the registration fee.Every year since 1983, endurance athletes from all over the world travel to Colorado to compete in the Leadville Race Series, produced by Life Time.
According to a press release, America’s highest 100-miler is an extreme test of grit, guts and determination with the ultimate goal of completing the “race across the sky” and earning the coveted silver and gold race buckle. Those that are unsuccessful in the lottery process and still wish to participate will have the option to race one of the qualifier events to earn a spot, where race entries are distributed by age group as well as random lottery on-site. The series of Leadville’s legendary ultra-distance events, famed for their challenging courses and elevations through the Rocky Mountain terrain, has drawn competitors for 36 years who aim to push themselves through the life-changing race that recently made headlines with Bobby Lea, a 3-time Olympic track cyclist.
