ELKHART, Ind. - For the second year, Dometic employees participated in a panel build for Habitat for Humanity. On August 22, over 50 volunteers gathered in the parking lot of the Dometic Headquarters in Elkhart to help build a house for Maleka Beard, a resident of Elkhart County. Last year, Dometic volunteers held a panel build for one of its own employees.
“We are so excited that we could contribute to the beginning stages of building a house for a second year in a row,” Scott Nelson, president of Dometic Americas, said in a press release. “Working along-side fellow employees and the future homeowner, Maleka, is an incredible opportunity that I am proud to be a part of. We cannot wait to see the finished home and wish Maleka well on her new journey.”
Founded in 1968 by the Electrolux, Dometic started out specializing in absorption refrigerators for RVs. Since then it has grown into a global market leader in solutions for mobile living, including air conditioners, cooking surfaces, awnings, sanitation and much more.
