Arkansas State Parks: Campgrounds, Day Use Areas, Overnight Facilities Open
To protect guests and staff, AR State parks' scheduled programming is canceled through May 13, 2020. This may be extended if warranted. This includes special events, tours, guided hikes, workshops, day camps, school groups, and other programs. More info here.
California State Parks: All Campgrounds Closed At This Time

Colorado State Parks: Campgrounds, Dispersed Camping and Camping Facilities, and Playgrounds Closed As of 3/26
Beginning on March 17, many of DNR's employees will work from home. Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be waiving fees for changing and/or canceling camping reservations until further notice. Camping at State Wildlife Areas is closed too effective Thursday, March 26 until further notice. Parks remain open, but Colorado Parks and Wildlife visitor centers, service centers and offices are also continuing to restrict access to the public. Delaware State Parks: All Delaware State Park Campgrounds and Playgrounds Will Close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24
While state parks and wildlife areas are currently open, all state park campsites, cabins, cottages, yurts and playgrounds will close. All campground reservations scheduled through May 15 will be canceled. Full refunds will be issued for reservations scheduled during that time. More updates go to their FB Page.
Florida State Parks: Campgrounds and All Overnight Accommodations Closed as of 3/20/2020; Select Parks Closed 3/20
All events, activities, special event reservations, pavilion rentals and camping/cabin reservations at Florida State Parks have been canceled for the next 60 days. Most Florida State Parks remain open for day use; however, hours of operation have been reduced to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Existing overnight camping and cabin reservations that begin Wednesday, March 18, will be honored. Visitors must arrive prior to 5 p.m. on March 18, to secure their reservation. View more here.
Georgia State Parks: All DNR-managed Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites Remain Open.
Hiking trails, fishing docks, campsites, accommodations, golf courses and other amenities are available. At the request of the Department of Public Safety; Lake Rutledge Road, CCC Camp Loop Road, and the park’s boat ramp will be closed until further notice. Idaho State Parks: Most Campgrounds and Day Use Areas Open; Most Events Canceled
Premium cabins and picnic shelters are closed. Most units will remain open; reservation holders wishing to cancel stays with arrival dates before May 1st because of COVID-19 concerns will receive full refunds. More details here.
Illinois State Parks: Campgrounds Closed.
Illinois DNR State Parks, Fish & Wildlife Areas, rec Areas, and Historic Sires will be closed until further notice. More details here.
Indiana State Parks: Campgrounds Open
Advance reservations are required. No walk-in camping (camping without a reservation) is permitted. For those who would prefer to cancel or reschedule due to COVID-19, they are committed to waiving fees for cancellations or transfers of reservations and to issuing refunds as requested for campsites held through April 30, 2020. This time frame may be extended as the COVID-19 status evolves. All DNR properties including state parks, state forests, fish and wildlife areas, nature preserves and state recreation areas remain open. Entrance fees suspended. Iowa State Parks: Campgrounds Open; Several Facilities Are Non-Reservable

Kansas State Parks: Some Campgrounds Closed
Select KDWPT facilities may temporarily have adjusted operating hours and/or be closed to public visitation. Call (620) 672-5911 ahead of time to check statues. More info here.
Kentucky State Parks: All Campgrounds, Golf courses, Marinas and Hiking Trails Remain Open
All 17 lodges and cottages remain open. Housekeeping services will be limited during this time as a precaution for guests and employees. Some boat ramps operated by the U.S. Corps of Engineers may be closed. Group events are cancelled through April 30. State park events scheduled through April 30 have been cancelled or postponed. Maine State Parks: Open With Canceled Events
All Maine State Park events, programs, races, and guided nature walks through April 30 have been canceled. They may be rescheduled for a later date. Day Use Areas remain open to the public during the normal season and normal hours of operation, 9 a.m. to sunset. To receive updates text DACF BPL NEWS to 468311.
Maryland State Parks: Campgrounds Remain Open; All Other Facilities Closed
Implementation of enhanced cleaning protocols at all of the parks’ restrooms and full-service cabins. All planned events and gatherings of groups larger than 10 people are cancelled through the end of April. Further info found here.
Minnesota State Parks: Recreation Areas, Campgrounds, and Other Public Lands Remain Open
However, visitors will experience some changes in services available. State park visitor centers, contact stations, and other ancillary buildings will be closed. With contact stations closed, visitors will pay through self-pay and informational kiosks located at each facility. Find out more here.
Mississippi State Parks: RV Camping Open; Bathhouse and Primitive Camping Areas Closed
MDWFP Wildlife Management Areas will also remain open. State and Regional Offices will be closed to the public. State Lakes will remain open for those that wish to go fishing; however, State Fishing Lake offices and bathhouses will be closed. More details found here.
Michigan State Parks: Campgrounds at State Parks Open and State Forest Campgrounds Remain Open; Facility Closures
State-managed lands, trails and parks remain open. However, numerous provisions affecting visitor services are being put in place for state parks and recreation areas. The opening of the Silver Lake State Park ORV Area is delayed until May 1. State park headquarters buildings and contact stations are closed to the public. A requirement that a Recreation Passport is needed for state park and recreation area entry has been suspended. Mini-cabins, cabins, yurts, shelters and lodges are closed until May 15. At day-use areas and boating access sites, vault toilets are open, no organized events are being held. More details here.
Missouri State Parks: Campgrounds and Lodging Will Be Closed 3/27 - 4/30 ; Current Temporary Closures On Select State Parks
This includes campgrounds, park-run lodging and concessionaire-run lodging. Day-use areas, boat ramps and trails remain open. Park and site special events, including both on- and off-site programming, sponsored by Missouri State Parks are postponed or canceled through April 30. All fees associated with camping and park-run lodging reservations, including reservation, cancellation and modification fees, beginning the night of Friday, March 27, through the night of Thursday, April 30, will be refunded. New Mexico State Parks: All Overnight Camping at State Parks Closed Until April 9
All special events are canceled through April 9, 2020. Please check the events calendar at NMParks.com for updated information regarding future events.Visitors with overnight camping reservations will be issued a full refund.
New Jersey State Parks: Campgrounds Closed; Nature Centers, Historic Sites, All Events & Programs Cancelled
state parks and forests will continue to be open to the public for hiking and other passive recreation. Existing camping reservations from Monday, March 16, through Thursday, April 30, will be canceled. Reservations will be refunded in full at our earliest convenience. Campers currently occupying a campsite will be required to leave by the end of today, March 16. No new future camping reservations are being accepted. Find more info here.
New York State Parks: Campgrounds, Trails, and Grounds of Historic Sites Open for Solitary Outdoor Recreation
Governor Cuomo has waived all entrance fees during the current COVID-19 public health crisis. To encourage social distancing, all public programs and events are suspended indefinitely. Many indoor visitor facilities, such as nature centers visitor centers, and historic houses, will be closed to the public indefinitely.
Nebraska State Parks: Park Grounds, Day Use Areas, Cabins and Campgrounds Remain Open
All Game and Parks visitor centers and park offices will temporarily close to the public on Monday, March 23. Guests with reservations are encouraged to contact the park offices for payment and check-in instructions. Details here.
Nevada State Parks: All Campgrounds Closed; Day Use Open
All State Park Museums, Visitor Centers, Gift Shops, Offices and the Nevada State Park Headquarters are closed to the public. Interpretive programs and special events are canceled until further notice. Find more info here.
New Hampshire State Parks: Campgrounds Remain Open
Many parking areas are open and hiking trails and recreational areas can be accessed. Specific details found here.
North Carolina State Parks: Visitor Centers, Campground Areas, and Picnic Shelters Closed
Trails are currently open. As of March 21, all restrooms will close for the safety of visitors and staff. Find more updates here.
North Dakota State Parks: Campgrounds Closed Until Further Notice
North Dakota Parks and Recreation is Closing All State Parks and Recreation Buildings to the Public. Day-use facilities at the state parks, including trails and boat ramps will remain open to the public as of this time, and recreation and natural areas continue to remain open for day use. The Parks and Recreation closure includes, but is not limited to, all overnight facilities, museums, visitor and interpretative centers, marinas and comfort stations. Ohio State Parks: Campgrounds, Cabins, Golf Courses, Restrooms, Shower Houses, Playgrounds, and State Park Marinas Closed
To modify or cancel day use facility, state park campground or state park cabin reservations, please visit www.reserveohio.com or call 866-644-6727. All Ohio State Park and Watercraft offices, visitor centers, and nature centers are closed to the public and naturalist programming is suspended until further notice. Oklahoma State Parks: Cabins, Campgrounds and RV Sites, as well as Outdoor Public Spaces and Restrooms, Remain Open
Lodges, nature centers, group camps/dining halls and community buildings are closed to future visits through April 15. Cave Tours at Alabaster Caverns will also be suspended through April 15. Park staff has been working to continuously clean throughout the day, focusing on high-traffic areas and high-touch surfaces. More info here.
Oregon State Parks: Camping Suspended
Oregon State Parks will accommodate current overnight guests through April 2. Reservations for all state park stays from April 3 to and including May 8 will be canceled and site fees refunded. Before May 8, the department will review the state park campground closure to decide whether it should be extended. The decision affects all individual and group overnight facilities: campsites, yurts, cabins, tepees, and services operated by concessionaires. Pennsylvania State Parks: All State Park and Forest Facilities, Including Campgrounds, Cabins, and Overnight Accommodations
Public programs, events, and trainings are canceled. They will be providing full refunds on all reservable facilities, such as campsites, cabins, cottages, pavilions, lodges, and the Nature Inn, for the next two weeks. More info can be found here.
Rhode Island State Parks: Campgrounds Open
Outdoor spaces at RI State Parks remain open to the public. All indoor public spaces are closed until further notice. Bathroom facilities are not yet open for the season and the parks are carry in-carry out.
South Carolina State Parks: Campgrounds and Cabins Open
No new cabin reservations will be accepted through May 7, 2020. If you have a reservation please check your email for instructions on how to check in. All park programming and tours, including historic house tours are suspended until April 15. If you have a question about a specific program in the future please contact the park directly. Tennessee State Parks: Campgrounds, Cabins, Hotels, and Overnight Group Facilities Will Close 3/27 - 4/9
Tennessee State Parks are canceling all park-hosted events from March 16 to April 15, 2020. Future reservations made for periods between March 27 and April 9 will be automatically canceled. The parks will waive cancellation fees during this time. At this time, upcoming reservations between April 10 and April 30 will be honored. This is subject to change as the situation evolves. Texas State Parks: Most Campgrounds and Day Use Remain Open; Limited Operations
Texas State Parks will no longer accept check or cash payments until further notice. Most parks still accept card payments at the park, but visitors are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase and print camping and day-use permits through the Texas State Parks Reservation System before traveling to a park. Utah State Parks: Most Campgrounds Open
As of 3/24, the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation created a chart to show which state parks have closed camping. Campgrounds at Dead Horse Point, Goblin Valley, Green River, Huntington, Millsite, and Scofield State Parks are closed as of 3/24.
Vermont State Parks: Parks Open But Not Being Staffed or Maintained
While Vermont State Parks are open for day visits, currently facilities such as restrooms are closed as part of our regular seasonal schedule. Visit here for the most up to date info.
Virginia State Parks: Campgrounds, Cabins, Yurts, Overnight Facilities, Restrooms and Bathhouses Closed Until April 30
The closures go into effect March 27. All visitor centers and other indoor facilities are closed to the public. Park staff is available by phone if assistance is needed. Groups or gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited and these restrictions will be enforced by park staff. Reservations will be canceled and reservation holders will automatically receive refunds. Stay up to date here.
Washington State Parks: Campgrounds Closed through April 30
The closure includes roofed accommodations like cabins, yurts and vacation houses. Day-use areas and trails remain open. Due to the volume of people visiting Washington’s ocean beaches, we are asking the public to avoid those areas. More details on reservations found here.
West Virginia State Parks: Campgrounds, Cabins, & Lodges Closed
All campground reservations have been suspended at least through April 16. All restrooms are closed. All lodge services are closed. Park restaurants have been closed. Curbside and carryout services is not available. Spa services at Berkeley Springs State Park have been suspended until April 18. Wisconsin State Parks: Campgrounds Closed Through April 30, 2020
Wisconsin state parks and trails are open to the public. Buildings are closed except for some restrooms. Admission to state parks and trails is voluntary via self-registration or kiosks. All public events are canceled. Further info here from Wisconsin DNR.
Wyoming State Parks: Camping Remains Open
While parks are open, indoor spaces which include visitor centers, headquarters and retail locations are closed to visitors. Visitors are asked to limit group sizes to less than ten and for people to stay a minimum of six feet apart. Find up to date info here.
