SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose, CA has announces the arrival of its first tiny home housing community for the homeless. The community on Mabury Road in the Berryessa neighborhood is made up of 40 tiny but solid wooden homes with a bed, a desk, some storage, electricity and air conditioning, as well as a communal kitchen, a food pantry and 24-7 security.According to CBS San Francisco KPIX 5 writer Len Ramirez, "The goal is to get people in the community and then transition them into permanent homes. One of the first residents to the community stated, "I was camped out for ten years, and now applying for jobs and looking for permanent housing." We hope to expect more success stories that all started with the simple helpful hand to get these people off their feet.
